teaching

These are my goals when teaching: to encourage students to be thoughtful about the writing process, and to begin thinking of themselves as writers. When students leave the classroom at the end of the semester, I want them to understand themselves writers, scholars, and thinkers: or, more simply, as valued members of a university community.

Testimonials

"Rebecca was my very first introduction to the world of college writing, and I couldn't be more thankful that it was her who taught me. Not only did she create an encouraging and inclusive classroom environment, but she also was more than eager to work with each student individually to meet our unique writing needs. From draft to final product of more than three lengthy papers, her extensive, constructive, and kind feedback never wavered. Rebecca's specificity throughout her teaching and editing was incredibly valuable to me, and I know that her skills will be useful inside and outside of the classroom for years to come." -Lauren B.
